Atal Bihari Bajpai

Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Gorkhibara, Gwalior has the honour of schooling a child that succeeded in putting a brilliant example of the politics that wooed principles and probity. The promising boy grew up and graduated from Victoria (now Laxami Bai) College with distinction in Hindi, Engilish and Sanskrit. Finally, DAV College Kanpur developed this boy as a master politician by awarding a first-class degree in Political Science. This well-educated young man was born to Krishna Devi and Krishna Bihari Bajpai on 25 December 1924. His ancestral village is Bateshwar, UP from where his grandfather Pt Shyam Lal Bajpai had migrated to Gwalior. Now we are proud of our immortal leader, prominent statesman, fabled poet and our 10th Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Bajpai. He had his own energy that lifted him to the top seat of responsibility. This is why he represented the common people and not to a particular class. Like our much loved Prime Minister Sri Lala Bahadur Shastri, he has been a real patriot, a man of the highest principles. He earned unblemished reputation because he loved all of the countrymen. I remember our most revered leader Bharat Ratna Sri Atal Bihari Bajpai on his Birth Anniversary. May he live long!
