इस कविता को मैने ८ अप्रैल १९८८ को लिखा था | विशेष बात यह है कि यह आज भी उतनी ही ताजी दिखती है । भारत के भावी लोगो आओ तुम्हें ले चलें वहाँ-वहाँ, नैतिकता का गला घोंटकर हमने फेका जहाँ-जहाँ । ये देखो ये देवालय हैं प्रेम के पौधे उगते थे, अब होती है घृणा की खेती ज़हरीले फल फलते हैं । ये रोते विद्यालय देखो ब्रह्माणी के स्वच्छ सदन, राजनीति के नग्न नृत्य का अब व्यावसायिक भव्य भवन । ये वे ही न्यायालय हैं जो न्याय हेतु विख्यात कभी थे, आज वही अन्याय हेतु बदनाम हो गये एक-एक ये । बच्चों , यह वह देश जहाँ सदभाव ब्रिष्टि नित होती थी, निष्कपट हृदय सब ही का था बोली में झरते थे मोती । आज यहाँ बस स्वार्थ हेतु लोगों में मारा-मारी है, दिन-रात सोच पैसो की सबको वही बाप-महतारी है । जहाँ अहिंसा , प्रेम भावना सुख जीवों को देती थी, हिंसा की रक्तिम लपटों में हर दीवारें हैं लिपटी । स्वर्ण काल की यादों में भारत माँ बैठी रोती है, महादेव के चरणों में अपनी करुणा उड़ेलती है । गंगा अतीत की मुक्त करो, लटे जटा की खोलो भोले, स्वच्छ हृदय दो , आँचल में स्वर्गि

पूंजी ढोने वालों से कन्हैया को परहेज नहीं ‘ पूंजी बाद से आज़ादी ’ की अग्नि फिर भी धधक रही | दिली दोस्त केवल वह है जो न घर न बाहर काम करे ‘ भुखमरी से आज़ादी ’ का नारा फिर भी याद करे | देश बटे धर्म-जाति में कन्हैया को एतराज नहीं ‘ जातिवाद से आज़ादी ’ कहना क्या कोई बात बुरी ? अपनी जान गवाकर भी जो उनको रक्षा देते हैं उनको यहाँ कन्हैया सारे खुलकर गाली देते हैं | निर्दोषों के खून की होली जो भी खेला करते हैं कन्हैया के दिल में ऐसे कुछ खूनी चेहरे बसते हैं | कन्हैया कितने ढोंग करो कितनों को वर्वाद करो सरकार माफ़ कर सकती है क्या भारत माँ झुक सकती है ? -           रमेश तिवारी

They say that people do not show respect for Brahmins now as they used to because Brahmins have been falling into decadence for years. In my opinion it is but an ideological reason for that because people are respectful only to those who have authority or who they think can benefit them in one way or the other. Brahmins are intellectual race, so kings and emperors that ruled the land felt their importance and employed them to deal with their administrative jobs and thus they were vested with significant power which ultimately made the people to be respectful to them like the politicians, irrespective of their caste and race, are kowtowed by the people today. Now that Brahmins enjoyed power for a long time, the people became habitual to be deferential towards them. Maha Shivaratri is celebrated   on the Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi of Falgun often in March. The Creation is based on three eternal processes: the birth, the survival and the end. Now that the working agent for the processes is energy which is also considered to have female characteristics, our ancient thinkers modelled the icons of three Mahadevies to represent it in its three different roles. But when they thought that the everlasting and senseless parts of the energy engaged in the three different jobs could do nothing unless they were operated by something that knew what to do and not to do and found them violating no law, though they had been able to, they continued the search and found a great mind controlling and running them. They then contrived the idols of two Mahadevas to symbolize that great mind.
