  I pay homage to the departed soul of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who had devoted his life to the betterment of the countrymen. He was a man of uprightness and wisdom. His modesty and gentleness did him credit and therefore considered as an exceptional parliamentarian. His personal integrity was never questioned. He said, "I honestly believe that history will be kinder to me than the contemporary media, or for that matter, the opposition parties in parliament." As the Finance Minister, he introduced liberalisation and privatisation, opening Indian economy to the world and became the chief architect of economic reform, which saved the country from recession. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and relatives at this time of terrible loss.

ऐ भारत की प्यारी नारी ! तुम स्वरूप श्रद्धा की हो, तुम तो फूलों सी कोमल या छुई-मुई से नाज़ुक हो । नहीं, नहीं झाँसी की रानी, दुर्गावती आदि भी हो तुम तो प्रबल दामिनी हो, काली चण्डी दुर्गा तुम हो ! धरती जैसी धैर्य धारिणी मुख पर अम्बर की गरिमा, लज्जा ममता करुणा की बहती उर में तेरे सरिता । किंतु किसी ने तेरे बच्चों को छूने की कोशिश की, ख़तरा बनकर झपटी होगी उस पर क्रुद्ध शेरन सी    सारे अब संसार में, गुंजित जय श्रीराम । अवधपुरी है सज गयी, जन्मभूमि अभिराम।। जन्मभूमि अभिराम, बज रहे ढोल नगाड़े । पशु, पक्षी, हर जीव, कर रहे हैं जयकारे ।। नये वर्ष के साथ, उछलते उत्सव प्यारे । राम कृपा के मेघ, घिरे हैं नभ में सारे ।। वीर चाहिए भक्त चाहिए शेरों का परिवार चाहिए । भारी भीड़ हमें भेड़ों की नहीं चाहिए, नहीं चाहिए ! जीना है मस्ती भरी जिंदगी हारना है नहीं, हाफना है नहीं, जीना हमें है जिलाना उन्हें, हमें इसलिए कोई चिंता नहीं। जिन्हें घृणा है देश-प्रेम से उनका हिन्दुस्तान नहीं, गद्दारों के लिए समझ लो यहाँ कोई स्थान नहीं । फिर से देश नहीं सौपेगा सत्ता नकली लोगों को, ठीक यही होगा वे जाएँ अपने असली वतनो...
