At a rude remark often offence we take, But never at what our mother says.   Entirely without malice she is we know, Therefore for her respect we show. I am proud I am the son of my mother; The source of my identity is none other. Mom, how I treasure those memories Of sitting at your knee, listening to your stories! Mom, I feel leaping in me an ocean of love When I recall the way you brought me up! Mom, I was the part of you and ever be! My sweet Mom, I love thee, I love thee!   

  वन-वन ढूँढा घर-घर ढूँढा ढूँढा हर फुलवारी में । मैया तुझको ढूँढ रहा हूँ आँगन और अटारी में । अँखियाँ सूख गयीं है मेरी दर्शन की लाचारी में । पल-पल बीत रहें हैं जैसे तपती खड़ी दुपहरी में । आ जा मैया आ जा मैया मन की शीतल झाड़ी में ! कर दे सुफल बैठ कर मेरे जीवन रूपी गाड़ी में ।

तुझसे दूर नहीं रह सकता, मुझे अकेले डर लगता है । पास मुझे अपने बैठा ले, सदा साथ में अपने ले ले ! मैया मेरा हाथ पकड़ ले ! मैया मुझको भूख लगी है, भोजन दाता मात्र तू ही है । अपने हाथों मुझे खिला दे, मन पुलकित तन सुंदर कर दे । मैया मेरा हाथ पकड़ ले ! मैया मुझको नींद लगी है, अन्य कहीं सुख शांति नहीं है । लोरी गाकर मुझे सुला दे, प्रातः होते पुनः जगा दे । मैया मेरा हाथ पकड़ ले ! मैया मुझको प्यार चाहिए, तेरा मृदुल दुलार चाहिए । मुझको प्यारी थपकी दे दे, कोमल कर से सिर सहला दे । मैया मेरा हाथ पकड़ ले ! तेरा निर्मल क्रोध चाहिए, फिर स्नेहिल गोद चाहिए । मैया मुझको गले लगा ले, मन में मेरे भक्ति जगा दे । मैया मेरा हाथ पकड़ ले !

मोबाइल पर आजकल डाक्टर मिल जायेंगे, कोरोना इलाज के घरेलू नुश्खे सुझाएंगे । इनके फेर में कभी मत पड़ना भाई-बहनों ! नहीं तो घर में भी चूल्हे ठंढे पड़ जायेंगे ।

  ऋषि मृकण्डु उनकी पत्नी मरुदयति के पुत्र बालक मार्कण्डेय का जब यमराज ने पीछा किया तो वे भागकर वाराणसी के कैथी नामक स्थान पर शिव लिंग की स्थापना करके उससे लिपट गए और उनके मुख से महामृत्युंजय मन्त्र निकला । भगवान शिव वहां प्रगट हुए परिणामतः यमराज को वहां से लौटना पड़ा । आज जब कोरोना महामारी से मुक्ति पाने का कोई मार्ग नहीं बचा है तो महामृत्युंजय मन्त्र का जाप हमें सुरक्षा प्रदान कर सकता है । मैंने मन्त्र का हिंदी व् अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद करने की कोशिश की है जो निम्नवत है : ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् | उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माऽमृतात् | तीन नेत्रों वाले हमारे श्रद्धेय महादेव जो संसार रूपी फुलवारी का पोषण करके उसे सुगंधित करते हैं वे हमें उसी तरह मृत्यु से मुक्त करें किन्तु मोक्ष से नहीं जैसे ककड़ी अपने तने से होती है । Highly esteemed Mahadev with three eyes, who nourishes the world and fills it with sweet fragrance, relieve us of death but not of immortality like a cucumber is of its stem.

People enjoyed the sweet pain of separation. Now your beloved is never far away from you, nor is she as enchanting as she used to be. The warmth of your being with me in spirit has ever helped me survive the wintry showers in life. Let me sit boozing - I am thirsty. What if I drink my wine of beauty?
