You dilly-dally?

The story, ‘You dilly-dally?’ represents procrastination which results in a series of terrible events and thus gives a lesson that one should be careful about anything that has to be done, no matter whether it is important or not. The narrator has to purchase an electric fan and a takht which he and his family need as a means of relaxing them in the evenings. Every day he goes to his office with a determination that he would come back home with them, but as he reaches there he gets deeply involved in his work, ignoring all that. And thus when he leaves his office, he forgets all about what he had decided to do. He not only suffers the sultry weather but also listened to his wife’s bitter reproaches on reaching home. One day the situation got one bad. He put his idea to have a cheque cashed on the back burner and consequently he had to escape a series of humiliating incidents.
