If
the university administration cannot provide a safe evening for girl students,
it has no right to use police force against the girl protesters at BHU. However,
liberty and security cannot go hand in hand in the case of girls. Often girls do
not show self-restraint. It is not because they do not want to show but because
they are helpless against their natural instinct. So girls are as bad as boys –
they attract problems. Practically speaking, the administration did no wrong to
impose ban on their evening strolls. BHU is BHU – it should not go like JNU
where the campus stinks of perversity.
