All that exists in the world is useful and helps us survive. What is useful is valuable and everything that is valuable is wealth which is called Mahalaxami, the consort of Narain, who like a king rules the universes and enforces immutable laws favourable to the entities in terms of their survival and lust for life. The entities that make a universe take shape and grow and in doing so they need something to live on. This need is the mother of business which is symbolized as Bhagwan Ganesh. Maa Laxami and god Ganesh represent wealth so they are the life and the breath of every being. Since our business speeds up from the month of Kartik on, we worship Maa Laxami and Buppa Ganesh and observe Dhanteras, praying to them for prosperity.
There
is nothing in this world whose novelty does not wear off, but money is the
exception that we never become bored with. It means the only beautiful thing
that the world has ever had is money because it a joy forever. May Mata
Mahalaxami and her loving son Mahaprabhu Ganesh make our business prosper,
bring us success and shower us with health wealth and happiness!
