Love and Beauty
Often in my mind’s eye,
I see something ethereal, gorgeously warm,
Rising from a dream sculpture
Then travelling through the cold air.
It comes to me;
But when it percolates through my mind,
It feels warmer and
I am then not what I am –
I am a bronze,
I am then not in the world –
I am in the celestial world where
Nothing exists except love and beauty,
I am then not living a life
But drinking immortality
In gloriously maudlin hours.
