I attended a seminar at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Bahraich (Friday, 31 August 2018) aimed to provide an overview on The Imposition of Indianism in the Schools. The following are my views that I put to the forum for debate:

It is family and school atmosphere that makes a man different from one born and raised in some different culture. A Hindu and a Muslim have different way of life. Every country consists of land, ocean, hills and the people but each one is distinct from the other because they have their own particular and peculiar culture and language, so culture and language of a country is its identity. Schools that corrupt our culture often give rise to the conversion to a new religion or beliefs which later proves to be dangerous as it changes one’s fidelity at the same time. There are a few ignorant people (yes, I’ll call them ignorant lout) who scoff at RSS by making remarks that it is against secularism, tolerance or unity in diversity. To be true, it means no disrespect for any sort of beliefs and faith, but rather it discriminates against those who lose their loyalty to the nation with the change of their faith or betray the country or believe in separatism.

Parents love their children but they never stay to think that they are also responsible for their development. They put their children through some English School and forget what more duties they have to them. I have seen how badly the young people behave today: their sense of social propriety is eroded; they never show respect for their elders; often they are mean and rowdy. It is our duty to tell them our popular myths, how our fathers forefathers lived their life and to pass on our custom and culture to them. Ram, Krishna, Shravan Kumar, Shivaji, Maharana Pratap are our Indianism. Hi, Hello is not our culture, nor is our tradition a fashion. It is for the parents and teachers to teach the rules and customs that control accepted behaviour.

Intensive early care and education programs for children have lasting positive effects such as school success, higher graduation rates, lower juvenile crime, decreased need for special education services, and lower adolescent pregnancy rates. On the contrary, if the children are not cared properly, it can have harmful effects on language, social development, and school performance. It has been observed that toddlers who receive proper child care develop better math skills prior to school entry and have fewer behaviour problems (fighting, arguing, being mean to others) than those who are deprived of it. A good child care and education programme provide a safe nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children while responding to the needs of families.

The education system void of Indianism weakens our sense of nationality and in absence of patriotism the people are prone to be corrupt and to be divided easily. However, values and ethics should not stick to our minds quite too hard because diplomacy is equally an important thing. Mohd Gori finally succeeded in invading our country – why? Because we were governed by a strict code of ethics. Arjun defeated the large army of Duryodhan – how? Krishna violated war ethics many times. In diplomacy, there is little place for ethics and moral values, but on condition that it pursue our national interest.

Divine Bond between Brother and Sister

Her brother be fabulously wealthy,

Enjoy happy life and be healthy

Every sister prays day and night.

Love and care pours from her voice;

Proud of his success she is always,

Cools him in her delicate shade.


Every brother loves his sister

And wishes for her to be a queen.

He is always on her guard;

All the world to him his sister mean.

A harsh wind he is ready to face

So that she could with pleasure beam.


The bond between brother and sister

Make them to each one’s needs minister.

A Craving for an Ideal Party

You are craving for an ideal party, ideal governance, or an India flourishing in an ideal atmosphere? I would say it is silly of you. Public problems make a capital that political parties put into their business. Don’t be excited – no party is going to solve any. Rather they nourish the existing ones and breed fresh ones. Even God does not want to leave you free from all problems. Yes, God helps you solve one, just creating a new. Your political parties are bad because you are not good enough to let a good party survive. Now you have no alternative but to find out which party is the worst or which one is the lesser evil. You need to know that the party that steals your money and most of whose members cares only about themselves and not about the country is the worst party and that the party that does something positive and is a little concerned about the country too is the lesser of two evils.

We do not find a political party good because it is good but because it speaks out against a particular party that we hate. Now, in actual fact, the parties based on different ideologies jointly create an environment in which the ignorant crowd of the people cannot help dividing into factions and a strong feeling of dislike for each other or the political dogma so emerged blinds both the groups of people to the real needs of the country or even to their own interests. A political party is like the cinema. It does business of making political films that entertains you, that plays with your feelings, that shows how the protagonist struggles against the forces of evil in our society, that makes you believe that the country is going to be an ideal world with a corruption-free and nationalist society. It continuously produces and shows some exquisite films, but after a show is over and you are back home you will see nothing has changed.

One day young students will have a lesson in their history books that will read thus: “Long long ago there was a party that fooled India for over sixty years, till the people were shepherded by a big man out of the hallucinatory veil that the party with paranormal power had spread over them.”

There is no man as perfect as God; there is no situation so ideal that it leaves no room for a censure; there is no government of absolute moral fibre; there is no system that cannot be beaten; rare are those who put their duties above their pays; rare are those who want to be of service to others; only a very few follow the teachings of their faith. Man is a greedy living thing, therefore no party is absolutely good or bad, but if the leader of a party is a responsible and God fearing person, his party is certainly better than other ones and the wise citizens of the country must support it. Prime Minster Modi is an enthusiast for better governance, for development, for the well-being of the people and the country. It is rare to find a leader like him, for all that is possible for him to make the nation better, he tries his best, so we need to stand at his side.

NDA vs UPA

Everything depends on money today – whether it is national security, scientific development, internal law and order, public offices, disaster management, expansion of infrastructure, or public services like education, health, welfare schemes etc. We need to dredge up the memories of the Atal Bihari Government that afforded the Kargil War, the Pokharan Nuclear Test, the National Highway Development Project, the Rural Development Plans and his Samjhhauta Express, his aid to Haj Pilgrims, the promotion of trade and better relationships between states. "We must grow faster. We simply have no other alternative," was Vajpayee's slogan. The World had started to fear India's dominance under his leadership. In respect of economic and scientific development China was then behind us. Later it became a threat during the long regime of the UPA government. Most of us know that our army had sent a proposal to deploy 50000 troops along the China border in 2010 and it was going to cost the country over Rs 65000 crore. The Manmohan government kept carrying the proposal over, and as a result, China trespassed on our land and we stood watching that. Here the words of our Bharat Ratna scientist, CNR Rao, are the testimony of this fact: “Why the hell these idiots, these politicians have given so little for us, despite that we scientists have done something." Brothers and sisters, nothing is hidden from you. It is the time for you to judge the Modi Government fairly and to decide for whom to vote.

Tribute to Our Beloved Father, Atal

Today the Himalayas has bowed his head,

The sea is restless, rivers weep, the sky cries,

Saddened by the death of India's great guide.

The country is heartbroken, bereft of a loving guardian –

The last angel of clean politics has passed on!

The leader of leaders, our dear father, is gone!

O, the author of statesmanship friendly even to opponents!

Look, we’re alone in the dense, dark, dreadful, night!

Who’ll lull us, lure us with lore jolly blessed & bright?

I pay affectionate tribute to his powers as a poet, as a Prime Minister and as a person who loved all of the countrymen without distinction, without discrimination!

72nd Anniversary of Independence Day

‘Swami Parmanand Shiksha Niketan Khamhariy Shukla’ celebrated the 72nd anniversary of Independence Day with great enthusiasm. When we reached the school at 8.00 in the morning, the young people and their teachers had gathered there. It was raining hard. They received us with the slogan: “Bharat Maata ki Jia!” Then they made rows before the Tricolour waiting to be hoisted. Mohan Lal Goel, the president of Akhand Paramdham Samiti Bahraich, hoisted the national flag and with that the school premises echoed with the Jai Ghosh: “Swantrata Divas amar rahe!” Two school children recited the National Anthem to the gathering. After that the children performed cultural programmes. Sweet was distributed among them and everyone was very happy.

Country Loyalists

Giving an address to the school children, I said: "The country declared Independence in 1947 but those who took control of the country were not true freedom fighters but rather the Indian representatives of British Empire. Country loyalists were either put to death or silenced. Thereafter divide and rule continued as the main stream of politics. Slowly the people divided by caste or social status developed a strong sense of loyalty to their community rather than to the nation; they learnt to shout for their rights, shares and privilege and forgot all about their duties to the nation. Thus the sense of nationality dampened. Corruption spreads its roots and system fails when the people stop loving their country and do not feel proud of it. This is something that India is undergoing since Independence and we are an undeveloped country. Now there are certain political parties that have adopted an aggressive propaganda campaign against the sovereignty of the country – why? It is because they have long been promoted by the permanent ruling party. Now PM Modi is trying to improve the situation, so it is our duty to support him every way."

Independence

Our own hills, seas and sky,

Now we have our own land,

Our own people to live with,

Our own government to reign,

But at the cost to the sacrifices

That our Fathers made.

We were owned by the Mughals,

The British and for a long timehad

Worked for them, which is for man

Considered the condition most bad.

Ah, the imposters in a veil of patriotism

Took the country over from

Our true fathers by conspiracy organizing.

The country declared Independence

In 1947, on August 15th.

However, we now breathe free air, are

The canopy of Independence beneath.

प्रधान जनसेवक महादेव

“आपत्ति काले विपरीत बुद्धि” :- मोदी महादेव ने अपने भक्तों के मध्य में उस समय दिव्यास्त्र फेंका जब वे आँखें मूंद कर भजन में तल्लीन थे | उनकी आँखें खुलीं: कुछ भय में भागने लग गये, कुछ के पैर काँपने लगे और कुछ की निगाहें उस दैविक अस्त्र पर टिक गयीं | कुछ लोग आगे बढ़े और एक ने जैसे ही उस भयानक अस्त्र को उठाया, वह तुरन्त इतनी संख्या में उपलब्ध हो गया कि सबको एक एक मिल गया | लड़ाई छिड़ गई – किसी का सिर कटा, किसी का हाथ तो किसी का पैर | फिर क्या था 36 करोड़ देवता उन पर फूल वर्षाने लगे लेकिन ये हरकत हिन्दू महादेव को पसंद न आई | भारतीय संस्कृति के पालक महादेव ने तो ऐसा इसलिए किया था क्योंकि उन्हें बहुत बड़ी संख्या में भक्त चाहिए, किन्तु हुआ क्या उस बड़ी संख्या में दूसरे भक्तों ने पहले तमाशा देखा फिर कुछ ही भजन के लिए तैयार हुए बाकी सब देवताओं की ओर हाथ जोड़कर उन्हें धन्यवाद देने लगे | प्रधान जनसेवक महादेव को ये सारे दूसरे भक्त तो भी मिल जाते क्योंकि मूल भक्तों के मधुर भजन सुनना इन्हें भी अच्छा लगता | “अच्छा सिला दिया तूने मेरे प्यार का, यार ने ही लूट लिया घर यार का !”

एक हथेली कोमल सुन्दर

तप्त भूमि है हवा विषैली 

निर्मम ध्वनि संसार में, 

हृदय हृदय में गरल स्वार्थ का 

धोखा हर व्यापार में । 

एक हथेली कोमल सुन्दर 

सिर सहलाये प्यार से 

नहीं मिली वह कहीं नहीं 

धरणी, अम्बर, पाताल में । 

इतना निराश भी क्यो है, पागल ! 

शीतल द्रुम छाया में बैठ, 

सरिता सलिल प्यार की बहती 

करुणा, अभिलाषा में देख,

Farmer

The person who knows the different elements of agriculture is more of a farmer than a mere politician and can make the best representative of farmers. As far as PM Modi ji is concerned, he talks of the industrial development but he also understands the difficulties that farmers face, knows the latest techniques of how their problems can be dealt with and, on the top of that, feels the very pain in the hearts of the farmers. He has been the complete prime minister unlike those who belonged to a high social class, had never known how rural people live, had always conjured up images of a dream country life, and as a result had been impoverishing farmers. Now he has raised the prices of agricultural products; fertilizer is available to the farmers in abundant; solar pumps are there to save diesel and electricity, cutting the cost of their crop irrigation; and there are several schemes for farmers that provide farm subsidy. Now in comparison, the UPA Government always lacked budget to meet agricultural projects and subsidies.

प्राथमिक शिक्षा विभाग

मैने विभिन्न सरकारों को देखा है और यह अनुभव किया है कि सरकारें दो उद्देश्य से चलती हैं: या तो जनहित लाभ की प्राथमिकता को लेकर या स्वहित लाभ की प्राथमिकता को लेकर, जबकि प्रत्येक सरकार का उद्देश्य जनहित लाभ ही होना चाहिए | कांग्रेस, बीएसपी और आरजेडी तीन ऐसी पार्टियाँ हैं जो स्वहित लाभ के लिए बदनाम हो चुकी हैं | बीजेपी एक मात्र ऐसी पार्टी है जिसका उद्देश्य सदैव जनहित लाभ रहा है | इस क्रम में दूसरे नंबर पर जेडीयू आती है | जहाँ तक समाजवादी पार्टी का सवाल है इसका कोई सिद्धांत नहीं, इसका एजेंडा खुल्ला खेल फरूखावादी रहा है | अब हम आते हैं उत्तर प्रदेश की वर्तमान सरकार पर – इसका मुख्य मंत्री अच्छा, इसकी नीति अच्छी, इसकी कार्य प्रणाली अच्छी किन्तु इसके कुछ मंत्री तो अपने लाभ के चक्कर में पूरे बीजेपी की साख को चोट पहुचा रहे हैं | प्राथमिक शिक्षा विभाग ही ले लीजिए, इसका उद्देश्य लोगो को सुकून देना होना चाहिए न कि उन्हें प्रताड़ित करना | ठीक है, कोर्ट ने फ़ैसला दिया कि प्रत्येक विद्यालय भवन बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य और उनकी सुरक्षा के अनुकूल होना चाहिए | अब मान लीजिए कुछ वेरोज़गार लड़कों ने विद्यालय खोला है, उनके विद्यालय में अच्छी संख्या है, और उनके पढ़ाने का स्तर भी अच्छा है | अब आप इस विद्यालय को मान्यता नहीं दोगे सिर्फ़ इसलिए कि इनके पास मानक भवन नहीं है और कोर्ट का आदेश दिखाकर इन्हें धमकाओगे ताकि वे आपके दलाल से मिलें | सरकार ऐसे नहीं चलेगी – सरकार यदि लम्बे समय तक चलाना है तो ऐसे उन्नतिशील विद्यालयों को सरकारी मदद देकर प्रोत्साहित करना होगा | यदि अच्छी नीयत रखते हो तो उन सभी विद्यालयों की मान्यता समाप्त करो जो मौके पर चल ही नहीं रहे हैं, यदि बन्द ही करना है तो उन विद्यालयों को बन्द करो जिनके पास भव्य इमारतें हैं किन्तु उनके नाम पर अविभावकों से नाजायज़ धन वसूलते हैं, यदि बन्द ही करना है तो उन सरकारी विद्यालयों को बंद करो जहाँ कोई अध्यापक पहुचता ही नहीं है, यदि बन्द करना है तो उन विद्यालयों को बन्द करो जहाँ केवल धार्मिक कट्टरता व अलगाववाद की शिक्षा दी जाती है, यदि बन्द ही करना है तो सरकारी अध्यापकों को स्थानांतरण व पोस्टिंग के नाम से परेशान करना बन्द करो और उन्हें नियमित ड्यूटी करने के लिए मजबूर करो | सभी जानते हैं कि सरकारी विद्यालयों में इमारतें हैं किन्तु शिक्षा नहीं | देश के हर स्तर के बच्चों को कम खर्च में अच्छी शिक्षा चाहिए, यदि ऐसा कर सकते हो तो आपका उद्देश्य जनहित लाभ का है वरना स्वहित लाभ तो आप कर ही रहे हो | भ्रष्ट राज्य सरकार के मंत्रियों, देश को बड़े सौभाग्य से मोदी जैसा जनहित लाभ की प्राथमिकता वाला प्रधान मंत्री मिला है, अपने साथ उसका नाम धूमिल मत करो !

Thirsty Wings

The attached photos are the revised covers of my book ‘Thirsty Wings’ published by Vishwabharati, which is going to be available to you early this month. The book is an incredible collection of 44 poems that cover a broad range of subjects, like: politics, nationalism, faith, humanity and love. It is an interesting book, giving a fascinating insight into PM Narendra Modi’s character and his way of work, dealing with certain individual and national issues and singing some emotive love and devotional songs. I express my warmest thanks to Dr S Kanade for helping to make my dream come true.

The Country has Risen

The country is heading towards the general election 2019. There are many parties in the election field, but in fact there are only two contestants: the team BJP and a Mahagathbandhan. The people already know what the parties in the latter team have done and will do. They are also well aware that a term to them again would but, send the country into deep recession, lead it to starvation, homelessness, joblessness etc or, to be more precise, destabilize it. It is not unknown to the people that the allies are either the poisonous ideas that have done nothing but divided the country and exploited it or the Maoist legion that spread like evil spirits with their sole aim to torment the former nationalist team which has proved itself whenever in power. Now under PM Modi, the country has risen to the dizzy heights of development, the countrymen feel happier than ever and find the Modi government as their only hope.
