A Meeting to Review Snippets of Life Music

A group of intellectuals held a meeting to review Snippets of Life Music at my house. Mr Gangotri Prasad Tripathi, ex-head of the department of English, Kisan post Graduate College Bahraich, chaired the meeting and Dr Surendra Mohan Tripathi, former professor Ram Manohar Lohia University was the chief guest. Mr Santosh Kumar Shukla came out on top in the UP PGT exam and is presently recognized as the first rank lecturer in English at LBS College Shravasti. He began the meeting by expressing his views on my book. He said that Snippets of Life Music has twenty-one short stories and each one represent a different theme. They entertain but also inform by covering both moral and immoral, sad and cheerful, practical and impractical aspects of life. Some stories are a perfect blend of reality and fiction, some of youth and experience and a few of humour and pathos. Mr Bajrang Kumar Mishra, Administrative Officer LIC Bahraich, appreciated the book and opined that the stories in Snippets of Life Music stretch the imagination and also pass on surprising facts and compel the readers to think over the images they engrave upon their hearts, thus serving them with something new, out of the ordinary, exotic and momentous. Mr Saket Tiwari recommended that the book is a must-read in a college because student will find examples of many different technical terms like: scientific, business, social, medical, political, communicative, spiritual, legal, administrative – all in one book. Jitendra Bajpai advised science students to read this book because being busy with their studies, they seldom find time to understand common people and the tricky situations and, as a result, often fail to show diplomacy in dealing with them. Dr Neeraj Pandey discoursed on the importance of books. He said that great stories have always influenced society. People view the world through books. There are means by which we can see remote things that are visible but invisible things can only be seen through books. It is books, only books that can make you known of the physical world, of humanity and of the laws of nature. Chief Guest, DR Surendra Mohan Tripathi, addressed his comments to the assembly. He said that Snippets of Life Music’ offers a wealth of delights and inspiration for gift ideas and presents the varying pictures of human life. Sri Gangotri Prasad Tripathi, the Chairperson, bringing the meeting to a close said the stories in the book surprise, move and captivate its readers, fill them with awe and curiosity, keep them happy and let them know more about what they see in the world. Each one of them is a few pages long but with contents of a wholesome novel.
